Full Moon in Hasta: Manifesting Messages
0 comments
On Wednesday, April 5th, at 6:34 pm HT (9:34 pm PDT) we have our Full Moon in Virgo in the star of Hasta. Here we have an open hand, releasing what no longer serves us and leaving space for what we want to make manifest. Ruled by the deity Savitri, we can see the glimmer of sun on the horizon as it rises, showing us that actually we have already begun! In order to move forward we must face both our deepest fears, as well as the ones that are closer to the surface. Mars is sending his fiery gaze to this Moon, giving some courage as well as frustration over what mundane tasks need to be done in order to make our bigger vision a reality. The ruler of Virgo, Mercury is in almost exact conjunction with Rahu, the north node of the Moon, in Aries and is receiving Saturn’s cold stare precisely, so we are experiencing some fear, anxiety and perhaps both a realistic and an exaggerated view of what is before us. There can be illusions in both our discernment and in our communication as well as some hesitation. The quality of our mind affects the impact our actions will have, as well as the amount of turmoil that is between us and creating the reality we desire. In Ashwini, the sign of the twin horsemen, notice if you have begun running before determining your determination and ensuring that any partners or other factors are fully aligned.
That being said, with these planets in the 8th house of our Moon, it is very possible your perception of what is real and safe in your world is about to get very turned around! This can have to do with your relationships, as at the moment of the Full Moon, Venus is still in Aries, but she is transiting into her own sign of Taurus an hour after the Moon begins its waning cycle and it may be the pleasure and comfort that keeps us together. The star of Krittika she is traveling on is where we “cut off” are attachments and see clearly through the element of fire. Do your best to stay with what is true (the facts) and not jump ahead to what they amount to. Messages can be strong, and accurate, but they can also be shrouded in illusion. Notice the ways in which desire drives you to act and how much effort you are needing to put in to will your way forward. Meditation, massage, gentle yoga, and time with nature can be incredibly healing. The Gayatri Mantra is a powerful healing tool in this time:
Om Bhur Bhuvah Swaha Tat Savitur Varenyam Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi Dhiyo Yonah Prachodayat
What we have to hold onto is still the same higher wisdom, and connection to Source we began this Moon cycle with and that is our North Star, our guiding light, both timeless and true.
Happy Full Moon!
