Monday, Ruled by the Moon: Trust Your Intuition, Think with Your Heart, Not Your Ego

It’s Monday, September 9, & Moon is in Scorpio, in the starspace or Nakshatra called Anuradha. Scorpio vibrates with the frequency of our worst fears. It’s where Moon is debilitated, where we are the least emotionally stable, are most apt to feel tossed around on the ocean of life, whose waves feel ginormous. did you hear about the pro surfer who just broke the world record by surfing a 150-foot (!) wave in Portugal? Sometimes our emotional waves can feel that big & that we don’t have the chops to surf them—that’s Scorpio for ya, but/& maybe not so much this time around, b/c Jupiter is directly across in Taurus, sending Moon hope from the most emotionally stable sign in the zodiac. Taurus is our comfort zone, Scorpio our discomfort zone, so we get to remember that life isn’t all comfort or discomfort & that any discomfort will soon pass—all we have to do is surrender & ride it out.

Anuradha is ruled by Mitra, the divine friend, & can be translated as “following” (Anu) in the footsteps of Radha, who was Krishna’s great good friend—no, they were not lovers; they were married to other people. Radha was totally devoted to Krishna (& her husband was good with that!), treated him as if he was god, b/c, well, he was. this asterism asks us to ponder what & whom we are truly devoted to & how we express our devotion.

It’s the sixth lunar day (tithi), the sixth phase of the waxing Moon, until midmorning, then the seventh. The sixth tithi supports us by giving us the power & confidence to manifest what will endure—it’s a good day to build a house, say. The seventh tithi supports us by focusing our mind, reminding us of what matters, keeping us on track, teaching us the value of humility & surrender.

Monday is ruled by the Moon, the source of & our ability to trust our intuition. Intuition means thinking with our heart, rather than our head, which is where our ego lives. Ego wants us to keep us doing the same old, same old, b/c it’s comfortable. Intuition allows us to move beyond the limitations of our mind by giving us creative messages, which may seem cryptic & bewildering in the moment. Ego wants to control, intuition to trust & surrender. can you?

And that’s your daily bliss! Which is a sort of lunar weather report. May it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
