Spic and Span Your Life
It’s Wednesday, September 4, & Moon is in Virgo, in the starspace or Nakshatra called Uttaraphalguni. While Leo is all about our public face, Virgo is about our private face. while leo struts upon the stage of life, virgo follows with a broom. For Virgo vibrates with the frequency of keeping our lives tidy & thus focuses on the details, making sure all our i’s are dotted, t’s are crossed. I spent the weekend in vail with a Virgo friend, whose kitchen after dinner looked like nobody had even cooked. Order gives her peace, she said. That’s how Virgos roll, & that’s how virgo wants us to roll. Virgo time is a good time to spic and span our lives—balance checkbooks, make doctors’ appointments, clean the stove (!), write everything in our calendar, do a cleanse, join the gym, check off the to-dos still on our to-do lists. Take pointers from Virgo friends if need be!
Uttaraphalguni gives us the power of choice & brings prosperity through marriage & other legal unions … if we choose wisely. choice involves responsibility, requires doing due diligence, reading the fine print before we commit, agree, sign contracts. this asterism straddles both Leo (inspiration) & Virgo (details). with Moon in fastidious Virgo, we might get too picky/critical about our commitments or might take the opportunity to reorganize & reprioritize, bring more intention & attention to them, make them truly conscious, positive, life-affirming choices.
It’s the second lunar day (tithi), the second phase of the waxing Moon, which brings auspiciousness & victory by kindling the spark of our new Moon inspiration into a bodacious (but not destructive) blaze. And the combo of this tithi + Uttaraphalguni + Wednesday is a powerful triad for achieving our goals … as long as we don’t employ impure/toxic methods (or, um, burn the house down—focus your flame, keep your fire contained!).
Wednesday (like Virgo) is ruled by Mercury, who gives us qualities like curiosity, neutrality, flexibility, objectivity & discriminating intelligence. Mercury is the consummate researcher, investigative journalist, has no allegiance to any dogma or political party’s agenda, doesn’t take money from advertisers or lobbyists. He knows that truth doesn’t mind being questioned, but a lie doesn’t like being challenged, & he can smell a lie a mile away. he knows that the more someone resists/protests/obfuscates, the more they’ve got something to hide.
& that’s your daily bliss! Which is a sort of lunar weather report. May it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
