Live Your Best Life in Each Moment
It’s Friday, August 23, & Moon will be in Aries at about 8:30 this morning MDT, in the starspace or Nakshatra called Ashwini. Which means that Moon is traveling through the treacherous zone between Pisces/Revati & Aries/Ashwini as I write. Which means readers beware: mind can be a tad unstable during that journey, so all bets are off about today’s post, lol!
Aries vibrates with the frequency of beginning again, of being reborn, of living our next best life. A buddhist teacher I studied with used to say, if you don’t believe in past lives, just look at all the lives you’ve already lived. Go ahead, do it—reflect on all the roles you’ve played & people you’ve been & how they are all rolled into the you you are now.
We live our best life by living our best life in each & every moment, by doing the thing we most want to do in every moment of our life. If you’re not doing that, Aries time is the time to start, the time to make a fresh start!
Ashwini bursts with horsepower, literally & figuratively, as it is ruled by the Ashwin Kumara, twin horse gods. We can feel mentally like horses chomping at the bit to bust outta the starting gate as soon as it is opened. (Metaphorically speaking—I am no fan of the abusive “sport” of horse racing.) But/& horses represent Prana, our precious energetic faculties. This asterism brings a lesson about the importance of harnessing our Prana, rather than letting it run amok like wild horses, if we are going to achieve our goals, like, um, making each moment count today.
It’s the fifth lunar day (tithi), the fifth phase of the waning Moon, which supports us with inspiration & the strength to follow through on that inspiration. It can, however, make us too airy-fairy, so it’s important to focus focus focus, to double-down on Ashwini’s message.
Friday is ruled by Venus, who wants us to IN-joy our material, our embodied, existence & all that entails. Venus is the part of us that experiences true joy, not the spectacle of it, that knows the difference between superficial joy worn as a mask & joy that permeates & endures.
Bonus track: Venus’ day + Ashwini = a combo with the potential for massive accomplishment. (Results may vary depending on your individual chart!)
