Trust the Mystery
It’s Wednesday, August 21, & Moon is in Pisces, in the starspace or Nakshatra called Purvabhadra until 1 p.m. MDT, then Uttarabhadra. Pisces vibrates with the frequency of the greatest mystery(ies) of life, where we “know” without being able to name, receive downloads like gifts from the universe, b/c they are, & don’t question them. Pisces offers up what might be called a religious experience.
“The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art & science,” said Einstein, who was a Gemini & had ruling planet Mercury + Sun, Venus & Saturn in Pisces, so knew of what he spoke, knew whence his downloads came. He added: “to know what is impenetrable to us really exists, manifesting itself as the highest wisdom & the most radiant beauty, which our dull faculties can comprehend only in their most primitive forms—this knowledge, this feeling is at the center of true religiousness.”
It’s a good day to get some religion!
Both Purvabhadra & Uttarabhadra are (obviously) connected by “Bhadra,” which means “auspicious.” we can think of “Purva” (former) & Uttara (latter) as a two-step process of auspiciousness. people often ask what “auspiciousness” means. here’s what Merriam-Webster says: “Favoring or conducive to success.” auspiciousness = goodness, prosperity, fortunateness (which I don’t think is a word, but whatever!). Purva brings an “aha!” moment, a download, a flash of insight or inspiration; Uttara encourages us to do something with it, run with it, use it or lose it. inspiration + action = auspiciousness.
It’s the third lunar day (tithi), the third phase of the waning moon, which supports us with the quality of nourishment, as in nourishing our intention for the waning cycle of the moon. Full moon on Monday (sorry, I was still in the mountains!) was all about finding & trusting our own rhythm, following our heart wisdom, finding new sources of motivation, letting go of bad habits & instituting better, new ones that have the power to sustain our intention. Have you been feeling that?
Wednesday is ruled by curious & communicative Mercury, the part of us that expresses ourselves, that likes to learn stuff & then share what we learn through our words, which makes Merc a sort of free-speech absolutist. Mercury would never want to be muzzled or muzzle anyone else, knows that information, not ignorance, is bliss.
And that’s your daily bliss! Which is a sort of lunar weather report. May it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
